Conjugated linoleic acid is a general name for some fatty acids with 18 carbons and conjugated double bond. Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin that has antioxidant property and can remove free radicals from the cells. Both conjugated linoleic acid and vitamin C involve in several physiologic processes and their supplementation for suckling calves may have some health effects. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of conjugated linoleic acid and vitamin C supplements on growth performance, concentration of some blood metabolites and blood cell counts of Holstein suckling calves. Material and methods: For this experiment, 28 newly-born Holstein (average age of 1-8 days, and body weight 39±2 kg) were allocated to four treatments and 7 replications for each treatment in a randomized complete design with 2×2 factorial arrangement of treatments. The experimental treatments were: 1) Basal diet (starter and whole milk), 2) Basal diet + 10 g per day of rumen protected conjugated linoleic acid, 3) Basal diet + 600 mg per day vitamin C, 4) Basal diet + 600 mg per day Vitamin C + 10 g per day of rumen protected conjugated linoleic acid. Results: The results showed that vitamin C supplement increased starter intake in first month significantly (P<0.05). Starter intake was not affected by feeding conjugated linoleic acid. Vitamin C supplementation improved significantly daily weight gain of calves in the first month (P<0.05). Dairy weight gain of calves in the second month was affected by the interaction effect of vitamin C by conjugated linoleic acid so, calves received vitamin C and conjugated linoleic acid supplements had higher weight gain during second month of life (P <0.05). Final body weight and feed conversion ratio were not affected by the addition of conjugated linoleic acid and vitamin C during rearing periods. The results showed that adding conjugated linoleic acid and vitamin C did not affected blood parameters (glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, total protein, albumin) of claves (P>0.05). The addition of conjugated linoleic acid increased significantly red blood cells and lymphocytes counts (P <0.05). Calves fed 600 mg of vitamin C had higher white blood cell counts than control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, supplementation of vitamin C and conjugated linoleic acid could have beneficial effects on the growth and health of suckling calves.}, keywords = {Conjucated linoleic acid,Vitamin C,Suckling calves,Blood cell counts}, title_fa = {اثرات اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و ویتامین C بر عملکرد رشد، غلظت برخی متابولیت‌ها و شمارش سلول‌های خونی گوساله‌های شیرخوار هلشتاین}, abstract_fa = {سابقه و هدف: امروزه استفاده از مکمل‌های غذایی و ویتامینه برای بهبود سیستم ایمنی نشخوارکنندگان و بهبود عملکرد رشدی آنها رایج شده است. اسید لینولئیک مزدوج نام عمومی برای گروهی از اسیدهای چرب دارای 18 کربن و پیوند دوگانه مزدوج است. ویتامین C یک ویتامین محلول در آب است که خاصیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی داشته و می‌تواند رادیکال‌های آزاد تولید شده در سلول‌ها را از بین ببرد. اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و ویتامین C در فرایند‌های فیزیولوژیک متعدی دخالت دارند و مکمل کردن آنها برای گوساله‌های شیرخوار ممکن است اثرات سلامتی داشته باشد. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی اثرات مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج محافظت شده شکمبه‌ای و ویتامین C بر عملکرد رشد، غلظت برخی متابولیت‌ها و شمارش سلول‌های خونی گوساله‌های شیر خوار هلشتاین بود. مواد و روش‌ها: برای انجام این آزمایش از 28 راس گوساله هلشتاین تازه متولد شده با میانگین سنی 8-1 روز و میانیگن وزنی 2±39 کیلوگرم با 4 تیمار و 7 تکرار بصورت یک آزمایش فاکتوریل طرح کاملا تصادفی انجام شد. تیمارهای آزمایشی شامل: 1) جیره پایه (استارتر و شیر کامل) 2) جیره پایه + روزانه 10 گرم اسید لینولئیک مزدوج برای هر راس، 3) جیره پایه + روزانه 600 میلی‌گرم مکمل ویتامین‌C برای هر راس و 4) جیره پایه + 600 میلی‌گرم مکمل ویتامین C برای هر راس+ 10 گرم اسید لینولئیک مزدوج بودند. یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که مکمل ویتامین C در ماه اول بطور معنی‌داری مصرف خوراک آغازین را افزایش داد (05/0>P). درحالیکه مصرف خوراک آغازین تحت تاثیر اثر تغذیه مکمل اسید لینولیئک مزدوج قرار نگرفت (05/0<P). افزودن مکمل ویتامین C، افزایش وزن روزانه گوساله‌های شیرخوار را در ماه اول بهبود بخشید (05/0>P). افزایش وزن روزانه گوساله‌ها در ماه دوم تحت تاثیر اثر متقابل تغذیه اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و مکمل ویتامین‌C قرار گرفت. به‌طوری که گوساله‌های دریافت‌ کننده مکمل اسید لینولیئک مزدوج و ویتامین‌C افزایش وزن بالاتری در ماه دوم داشتند (05/0>P). وزن نهایی و ضریب تبدیل غذایی گوساله‌ها در طی دوره پرورشی تحت اثر افزدن اسید لینولیئک مزدوج و ویتامین C قرار نگرفت (05/0<P). نتایج مربوط به فراسنجه‌های خونی (گلوکز، کلسترول، تری‌گلیسرید، پروتئین کل، آلبومین) نیز نشان از عدم تاثیر معنی‌داری اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و مکمل ویتامین C داشت (05/0<P). افزودن مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج به طور معنی‌داری سبب افزایش تعداد لنفوسیت‌ها و گلبول‌های قرمز خون گردید (05/0>P). گوساله‌های تغذیه شده در گروه دریافت کننده 600 میلی‌گرم ویتامین‌C تعداد گلبول‌های سفید بالاتری نسبت به گروه شاهد داشتند(05/0>P). نتیجه‌گیری: براساس نتایج بدست آمده در این مطالعه افزودن مکمل ویتامین C و اسیدلینولئیک مزدوج می‌تواند اثرات مفیدی بر رشد و سلامت گوساله‌های شیرخوار داشته باشد.}, keywords_fa = {اسید لینولئیک مزدوج,مکمل ویتامین C,گوساله شیرخوار,سلول‌های خونی}, url = {https://ejrr.gau.ac.ir/article_4301.html}, eprint = {https://ejrr.gau.ac.ir/article_4301_59e062dcb71a05bbe9577204b1197734.pdf} }
